Dr. LeeAnn Lindsey serves as managing partner & dig cit doctor for Edvolve, which aims to help teachers and leaders transform digital citizenship education.
LeeAnn is a former classroom teacher & technology integration specialist who has been helping teachers adopt digital-age teaching practices for twenty-something years. She has held roles in the classroom, district office, regional/statewide training centers, higher education, and the non-profit space. From 2011-2016, LeeAnn led the infusion of technology throughout the teacher preparation program in the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College at Arizona State University. While in this role, LeeAnn authored and implemented digital citizenship modules which were required learning for all teacher candidates. This work ignited LeeAnn's passion for training teachers to embrace, promote, and model digital citizenship -- and became the focus of her doctoral dissertation. LeeAnn's work in the field earned her a spot on the core development team for the ISTE Standards for Students and the ISTE Standards for Educators. She's also been featured in ISTE's membership magazine and has been honored with multiple awards, including ISTE's prestigious "Making IT Happen" for her work in the field. LeeAnn is a resident of Phoenix, AZ and teaches computer classes at Glendale Community College. In her free time, she enjoys hitting the gym (and a little healthy competition) with her husband, Shawn, morning walks with her beloved Laney Doodles, and pursuing the perfect meal. She also considers herself quite the taco aficionado. View LeeAnn's resume >>> View academic publications >>> |
